Vincenza Carrieri-Russo

Vincenza Carrieri-Russo, a former Miss Delaware USA and the Executive State Director of the Miss Delaware USA and Miss Delaware Teen USA Organization, is an influential advocate for empowering women and breaking barriers. Working with prestigious organizations like Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA, she creates opportunities for young women to voice their stories and effect meaningful change.

Vincenza’s life, however, is not all about glitz, celebrity, and crowns, although she is the “queen of service” at her restaurant, the Vincenza & Margherita Italian-American Bistro! The restaurant, which opened in 2014, is the brainchild of Vincenza and younger sister Margherita, 3rd generation restaurateurs. In just a little over two years, V&M Bistro has garnered hundreds of glowing reviews and was selected for impressive recognition including Best of Delaware Awards 2015-2025 for Best Italian Cuisine, Best Specialty Cocktails, Best Boozy Ice Cream, Best Homemade Pasta & Best Sicilian Pizza.

As the co-founder of Success Won’t Wait, a literacy organization established in 2002, Vincenza has helped collect and distribute over 1 million books to underserved communities. Her dedication to community service has earned her numerous accolades, including the State of Delaware Jefferson Award and a National Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award for Outstanding Community Service. Newark, Delaware, celebrates her contributions with “Vincenza Carrieri- Russo Day” on July 15th. Currently, Vincenza is pursuing her dream as the TV & media host of the award-winning morning show; Good Morning Delaware on DETV.
